And the winners of the MIC Brussels fourth Boostcamp are…

The winners of the Microsoft Innovation Center Brussels (MIC Brussels) Boostcamp #4 were announced during the final which took place last Tuesday, the 5th of November at the Microsoft Innovation Center in Brussels. The Award Ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Economy, Employment, Scientific Research and Foreign Trade of Brussels-Capital Region, Céline Fremault. The three winners were honored on the criteria of their business potential, the maturity of the project, and the quality of the presentation. For the Grand Prize winner, the project’s innovation was also rewarded. The three winners are:

  • Thomas Paris for his project Pictawall (is an interactive social wall for events. It collects all pictures & videos that are posted by the guests and displays them in real time on the event screens, Facebook page and website) which was awarded with the Grand Prize handed over by the Minister of Economy and Employment of Brussels-Capital Region, Celine Fremault. For the first time, the winner of the Grand Prix was awarded with a Innoviris Price of € 3,000 handed over by Madam Katrien Mondt General Director of Innoviris. The winner also received one month for free at BetaGroup Coworking and half a day for free with a Cloud Consultant at RealDolmen.

  • RĂ©gis Pradal for his project InternsGoPro (The first European site for students and recent graduates who are looking for quality internships and their first job. Their quality labels recognize the best employers allowing young Europeans to optimize the decisive transition between University and work) And was awarded with the Brussels-Capital Region prize, handed over by the President of the MIC Brussels and CEO of EDF Luminus, Gregoire Dallemagne. The winner also received through this award, one month for free at BetaGroup Coworking, half a day for free with a Cloud Consultant RealDolmen and half a day for free with a Branding Consultant, offered by ABE-BAO-BEA.

  • Jean-Charles Vanderlinden for his project CentralApp (A tool that optimizes online marketing for local businesses by allowing them to manage automatically from a single interface, all social networks, card system, online directories and specialized listings that are relevant to their business) and received the Experts’ prize, presented by Luc Van de Velde, Director Developer & Platform group at Microsoft Belux. The winner of this award received one month for free at BetaGroup Coworking and half a day for free with a Cloud Consultant at RealDolmen.

Apart from these three winners, 6 other Boostcampers participated to the 4rd Boostcamp :

  • Thierry Lahaye and Xavier Jeunejean with Oh-Chef
  • Manon Rodriguez Mate with Beauty Case
  • Pierre Maes with Hellove
  • Margaux Seghin and Nausicaa Theodotos with Ginger
  • Fabrizio Rossi with Greenamity
  • Serge Boucher with Springout

 

 

About the MIC Brussels:

Since its launch two years and a half ago, the MIC Brussels has welcomed more than 4,800 people in networking or coaching activities and have delivered in total 331 certificates to job seekers. 71 startups have been coached by amazing experts, and 29 of them have already started their business. We also have to say that, 129 jobs were created through the Boostcamp, the free Preparation sessions for Certifications of the MIC Brussels, the coaching of students organized by Evoliris, Bruxelles Formation, Cefora and the MIC Brussels.

In February 2014, the MIC Brussels will start a coaching program for advanced startups: the “BizSpark Accelerator“. The objective is to support startups coming out of Boostcamp, or startups that are generally at a more advanced projects that Boostcamp stage. The MIC Brussels will support a greater number of IT companies wishing to start and accelerate their business in Brussels. Candidates for this program will be selected by a panel of experts and receive an advanced coaching, mentoring and a high-level and technical support to the development of a prototype.
