Innovation Masterclass is a great opportunity for young entrepreneurs to present their startup ideas at the European Commission’s Innovation Convention #EUIC2014 and receive mentoring from leading experts in the field. EYIF’s renowned mentors will share their experience and offer guidance to the winners of the online competition for this Innovation Masterclass.

Submit your idea by filling out the form below by February 20^th 23h30 CET and join the event in Brussels on March 10^th at the EU’s Innovation Convention #EUIC2014 together with some of the most innovative minds of Europe!

Who can participate?

This Competition is open to:

• Early-stage entrepreneurs who have set-up their own company / organisation within the period of the last 18 months (maximum)
• Students with bright start-up ideas with a minimum of one year of professional experience, preferably in a field related to innovation and/or entrepreneurship who are nationals or permanent residents of the European Union.

How to Apply?

To apply submit a video with a duration of maximum three minutes explaining how your project answers to the questions listed below. It is up to you to decide to how many of the listed questions you are going to answer to. Remember that along with your video, you should also send a presentation of your project (in PowerPoint or slideshare only).

Deadline for submission is February 20^th. The three finalists will be announced in the last week of February. The Innovation Convention will be held in Brussels on March 10^th, 2014. See more about the Convention here.

Questions to answer in your video:

- What is the specific business or social problem that your innovative idea is going to provide a solution to? Is it going to improve significantly an existing solution?

- What makes your business proposal of your innovative solution unique and what is the key asset you hold (know-how, expertise, etc) which could hardly be copied by your competitors?

- Are you looking for funding? If yes, how much and what for?

- Does your innovative solution address a global need(s)? Can you deploy / export your solution to international markets?

- How would your future business answer to some of the most critical difficulties that Europe is facing at the moment (e.g. job creation, help reach environmental targets, etc.)?
