This is exactly why Xavier Lempereur and Florent Dubois invented and patented ISOSIZE ®, the ultimate size toolbox for online and offline shopping that allows you to try clothes online by checking what you wear with what you buy!
Back in 2005, these two serial startup freaks (11th startup) noticed that online commerce was growing fast in almost all sectors except in the textile industry. The main reason was indeed a mistrust in clothing sizes from consumers, as this was initially the case for the use of credit cards.
Even today, retailers are losing huge benefits due to costs of returns which can reach up to 25% on average.
After a first intensive and successful graduation from the Founder Institute incubation program, ISOSIZE ® has been selected by the MIC to go to the next level through the first edition of the 4 months MIC Brussels Acceleration Program which is focused on more mature startups with a good potential of scalability.
The objective of ISOSIZE ® was to validate their ‘Go to Market strategy’ with a first minimal viable product.
Within three months, and since all startups of the MIC Brussels Acceleration Program are very different by nature, Xavier Lempereur and Florent Dubois met different experts in various domains, all tailored by the MIC for their very specific needs.
They also went through the mandatory pitching exercise, which was amazingly a complete different story from one week to another, testing us with different approaches to optimize their efficiency.
As a Microsoft BizSpark Startup, ISOSIZE ® finalized their MVP and moved it quickly on Windows Azure to sustain the launch of an immediate campaign through their social channels on facebook.com/Isosize and facebook.com/Stylywear where they were already cumulating more than 35k of fans from 140 countries!
ISOSIZE ® started small with a C2C approach by posting consumers’s second hand clothes from videdressing.be with the ISOSIZE ® QRCode tag to check the clothing size from a mobile device! And it works, try it now from your screen now!
Right after a cool launch event organized in the MIC premises, ISOSIZE ®, with the help of the MIC and Impulse Brussels, participated in a trade mission in New York and Montreal-Canada where they met prestigious companies amongst with Microsoft US, Google, Reitmans-Canada.
They came back in Brussels 10 days after with an agreement with two brands of the Reitmans Group Canada ( 1Bn$ - 950 store) to launch a first pilot with SMARTSET and RW & CO! In the meantime, ISOSIZE ® had also made a deal with MIA ZIA the famous belgian brand to post their Summer 2014 collection.
As a result, back in June, ISOSIZE ® could reach up to 1.3 Mio consumers a week through their social media with an average engagement rate of 6.9%, and even up to 9% for maternity clothing.
But there was no time for sleep! 24 hours after the plane landed, ISOSIZE ® participated in the Microsoft Innovation Awards, where it received the Microsoft Brussels Investor Pitch Award!
