FuelUp is a Belgian startup that will help you automate the management of your housing fuel tank without moving from your couch.
What does FuelUp do?
All those services are made possible thanks to an electronic gauge that the final customer will install on his tank. The gauge is plug & play and you won’t need tools or a technician to install it for you.
The idea was born a few months ago when Alexis Bedoret, co-founder and managing partner of the startup studio M4KE.IT, started to talk with a fuel provider. He noticed that there were several problems existing in this industry and that the market was lacking behind on an innovation point of view compared to other sources of energy. When he met Catherine de Viron a few weeks later they decided to launch the project together, Catherine leading the business development and M4KE.IT the engineering.
Catherine joined the MIC Boostcamp as soon as the project was launched. It really helped her to get advice from experts, to keep the right focus and what truly matters when you launch a startup and it led her to meet interesting people from several different sectors. Through the Boostcamp, the project underwent different pivots that led them to their go-to-market planned for end-January. The Jury seemed as satisfied as the team regarding the evolution of the project as they won the audience and the Brussels Capital Region prize.
Today, the Boostcamp is over but we kept up with the learned process: build, measure, learn, and iterate over and over again. We keep up with meeting a lot of potential customers to deeply understand their needs and we expect to go live in a few weeks.
